Amazingly, the simplest way for a thief to get inside a residential dwelling is through the front, back or garage doors. A knowledgeable thief knows that the garage door is ordinarily the easiest place to enter and the back door after that. And the reason is that either of these doors are less noticeable from the road and neighbors. Forcing a door open by kicking or "shoulder slamming" it is the most common way for a burglar to invade your home.

The FBI says 73% of all burglars invade a home by simply busting right through the door. What is it about outside entry doors that make them so easy for a robber to gain easy access into a home or office? Look carefully at your front door-frame and the lock-set that is installed. The area surrounding the deadbolt and door strike plate is the weakest part of your door. There is less than half an inch of softwood defending safety of your abode.

The exterior doors, hinges and security locks are not what makes it easy for break-ins to occur. It's the door-casing (a.k.a. Door-frame or door-jamb) that is the weakest part. Most door-jambs are made from softwood trees like Pine, Spruce and Fir. Softwoods like these just can not withstand the impact of a large solid steel deadbolt latch being shoved against them. This is what happens when a burglar attempts to kick in or shoulder slam a door. Likewise most common door hinges and strike plates are held to the door and door frame with screws that are less than 1 inch long. Don't believe me? Go remove a screw from one of your door hinges and see for yourself.

What do you need to do to make your exterior doors more secure? Extra reinforcement must be added to strengthen your door-frames and hinges. The simplest and most affordable way to "beef-up" your doors is by installing heavy-duty metal door-casing reinforcement hardware using longer, high-strength screws that tunnel down deep into the wall studs. This will effectively replace those small, weak strike plates that are being held by short, inferior screws.

A popular door-jamb fortifying product is the Door Devil Anti-kick Door Security device. Three important and unparalleled features differentiate this product as way out in front of its competitors. Those distinctive and useful features are strength, ease of installation and guarantee. Let's talk about each one of those features:

1) Each Door Devil kit includes everything you will need to fortify one standard-size entry door. The kit includes a 48" steel door-frame strengthening security unit, 3.5" heavy-duty screws, window decals and a yard sign to signal to any would-be thief that your home is burglar proof. The product is also engineered with a unique 45 degree edge making it possible to resist greater kick force while also making the door easier to close after the unit has been installed.

2) Installs easily directly onto the existing door-casing. You will not be required to take apart the casing or hardware. The kit also comes with the correct drill bit to make the door security upgrade quick and easy. Typical installation is under 30 minutes per kit.

3) Door Devil comes with a 3x anti kick-in guarantee. No door security product will to stop a determined robber, however, Door Devil has been so rigorously tested, that the manufacturers will refund triple the purchase price if their product is ever defeated. No other door security hardware comes with that kind of manufacturer's endorsement.
