For decades Uzi family of firearms have been legendary for their intimidating power, now the only official non-lethal weapons sanctioned by Uzi are available for private citizens. These include their own line of stun guns, stun pens and stun batons. The first prototype of the Uzi appeared in 1950. Its developer was an Israeli army captain by the name of Uziel 'Uzi" Gal. Gal, a German-born Israeli gun designer, is distinguished as the inventor and namesake of the Uzi submachine gun. They are used throughout the world as a police and special forces firearm. Over the years the Uzi trademark has rightfully earned its reputation for quality and reliability. It is now possible for private citizens to possess an Uzi; an Uzi stun weapon, that is.

The Uzi stun gun is a low-amperage, high-voltage electronic self defense weapon powered by a 9-volt battery. Some models of these stun guns are rechargeable and can be plugged into an electrical socket for recharging. These stun guns incorporate two electrodes which serve as a means to pass an electrical current through the body when the trigger is pressed and the device is held against an assailant. Although the output of the stun gun is impressively high, it does not fatally or permanently injure its target, making it an effective, yet civilized, means for self-defense protection. It does not work against the recipient's cardiac system, nor does it work by causing extreme pain. What it does do is conduct the flow of electricity into the muscular tissue of the attacker, causing their muscles to contract on overdrive, subsequently depleting the body's blood sugar levels due to the muscles becoming overworked.

In addition, the Uzi stun gun also causes temporary discord in the perpetrator's neurological impulses, causing him to lose his balance. The disorientation an attacker experiences will only disable him for a short while and will not result in permanent damage. This self-defense tool is completely safe to use because the current will not pass to you should your attacker being grabbing you when he is touched with the electrodes.

Uzi stunners come with a life-time warranty and are available in voltages from 100,000 to over two million volts. While the most common straight or curved stun gun designs are always favorites with consumers, you can also purchase an Uzi stun device in one of several other models, such as mini stun guns, stun pen and also stun batons.

Lastly, Uzi stun guns make outstanding going away gifts for that son or daughter who is leaving home for the first time to attend college or is moving out on their own. They are also great for Christmas, birthdays and any other time of the year when you just want to say "I love you."
